Run analyzer and coach for Slay the Spire 2 (STS2)

Climb every run twice.

Slay the Spire 2 leaves a file after every run. Spire Coach reads it, reviews every floor and coaches you on your own seed.

Join the beta waitlist

The beta opens soon, for Windows 10/11 and macOS. The tower is one real run: an Ironclad win on ascension 1, 48 floors in 23 minutes.

Hold the button to climb it. Tap once to play it through.

Your runs upload themselves.

You play. The game writes the file. The app does the rest, and you can also drop a file on this page by hand.

The game writes a file.

One .run file for every finished run. It holds the seed, character and ascension, and for each floor your HP, gold and damage, every card pick, relic pick and rest-site choice, and your final deck and relics.

saves/history/<start_time>.run

The app uploads it.

The desktop app watches that folder and sends each new file by itself. Co-op files have every player’s Steam ID replaced by a seat number before they leave; the privacy section has the details.

You get a review and tips.

Every run becomes a floor-by-floor timeline. Tips come from how you actually play, set against players who win at the same ascension.

It opens on your runs page and is read in your browser. Nothing is sent.

Every floor, reviewed.

The timeline shows your HP on every floor, each card you took and each one you skipped, and every rest, elite and boss. This is the run behind the tower, and the glowing band wrapped around it is the HP curve below.

Coached on your own seed.

Tips are built from how you actually play, set against players who win at the same ascension. A local simulator of the game replays your seed and shows where a different choice would have changed the run.

When do you want tips?

Where it would have changed

Floor 33, Kaiser Crab. You were offered Stoke, Fiend Fire and Juggernaut, and took none. The simulator replays seed XDZNK3H5LG from there with each of them in your deck and shows how the run plays out.

Preview: the offer is from a real run. The replay comes with the coach, which is still being built.

An optional panel in combat

A small always-on-top panel, fed by the in-game mod, suggests a play and grades the one you made.

What leaves your machine.

Uploaded runs are the raw material for the coach. A few rules decide what happens to them.

Steam IDs become seat numbers.
Co-op .run files contain other players’ Steam IDs. The app replaces each one with a seat number before upload. A hash would not hide them: Steam IDs are sequential.
Runs are private.
A run is visible to you alone until you choose to share its link.
Modded runs stay out.
Runs from modded profiles, or with debug actions, are flagged and kept out of training.
Training is opt-in.
Uploaded runs train the coach’s models. Contributing is your choice.
Delete it all.
You can delete all of your data.
