What the run analyzer shows
Slay the Spire 2 writes one .run file for every run you finish. Drop one file, or your whole history folder, into the box above and the analyzer reads them in your browser:
- Runs and wins for each character, one square per finished run.
- Card rewards: how often you took a card and how often you skipped.
- Rest sites: what you chose to do at each one.
- Elites fought in each act, and the encounters that ended your runs.
- The cards you take most often, across every run.
- Any single run, floor by floor: open it to step through every floor, read the coach notes, and see your final deck, your relics and the path you took through each act.
The totals count finished solo runs from an unmodded profile. Abandoned runs, co-op runs and runs from a modded folder are still listed, with the reason they are left out of the numbers.
Nothing is uploaded
Your files never leave your computer. The page reads them with the browser's own file reader, and nothing is stored: close the tab and the results are gone. The page also carries a Content-Security-Policy that forbids it to connect to any other site, so your browser itself would block an upload, even if the page tried.
Want your runs kept? The Spire Coach desktop app, in closed beta for Windows and Mac, reads each new run as you finish it and keeps a private history in your account.
Where Slay the Spire 2 keeps your runs
- Windows:
%AppData%\SlayTheSpire2\steam\<your Steam id>\profile1\saves\history - macOS:
~/Library/Application Support/SlayTheSpire2/steam/<your Steam id>/profile1/saves/history
Each Steam account has its own folder, named after its Steam id, and each profile has its own history folder. Drop the whole steam folder to read every profile at once. Runs played with mods are kept in a separate modded folder, and the analyzer recognises them from the path.
What is in a .run file
A .run file is plain JSON. It records the seed, the character, the ascension, whether you won, how long the run took and what ended it. Then it lists every floor of every act: the room, your HP, the card rewards you were offered and what you took, and your choices at rest sites, shops and events. At the end come your deck, your relics and your potions.
Questions
Do I need an account?
No. The analyzer works without signing in, and it is free.
Is my Steam id sent anywhere?
No. The files stay in your browser. (The desktop app, when it uploads, replaces Steam ids with seat numbers before anything leaves your machine.)
How is this different from other trackers?
Many trackers collect uploaded runs to build global statistics. This page reads yours where they are and shows your own patterns; a few other tools work that way too. See how the Slay the Spire 2 run trackers compare.
